AHP Calculator
Analytic Hierarchy Process Calculator
Make better decisions through structured pairwise comparisons and mathematical analysis.
What You Can Do
Pairwise Comparisons
Compare criteria systematically using Saaty’s 1-9 scale. The calculator automatically handles reciprocal values and matrix construction.
Priority Weights
Calculate normalized priority vectors using the eigenvector method. See clear visual representations of relative importance.
Consistency Analysis
Automatically calculate Consistency Ratio (CR) to verify the logical coherence of your judgments. Get instant feedback when adjustments are needed.
Decision Support
Support complex multi-criteria decisions with mathematical rigor. Ideal for vendor selection, project prioritization, and strategic planning.
How It Works
1 Define Your Criteria
Enter the number of criteria (2-10) and name each one according to your decision context.
2 Make Pairwise Comparisons
Compare each pair of criteria using the 1-9 scale. The calculator automatically fills in reciprocal values.
3 Review Results
Get priority weights, consistency metrics, and visual charts. Adjust comparisons if consistency ratio exceeds 0.1.
About the Analytic Hierarchy Process
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a structured technique for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, developed by Thomas L. Saaty in the 1970s. It is based on mathematics and psychology and has been extensively studied and refined since then.
AHP provides a comprehensive framework for decision-making by decomposing a problem into a hierarchy of more easily comprehended sub-problems, each of which can be analyzed independently. The elements of the hierarchy can relate to any aspect of the decision problem—tangible or intangible, carefully measured or roughly estimated, well or poorly understood.
This calculator implements the core AHP methodology: pairwise comparison matrix construction, priority vector calculation using the eigenvector method, and consistency ratio analysis to ensure logical coherence.
